Thank you for making time to explore my profile.I'm Umar Hassan from Birnin Kudu, l like to think of myself as an accomplished healthcare professional with more than a decade of experience in general nursing and midwifery. I'm further equipped in my nursing career, through my Bsc degree in nursing, to play a key role in my organization's leadership role.My desire to become a nurse began at a young age. I can clearly remember many holidays of my childhood, the kind of holiday that couldn't come quickly except in February...this is usually called long vacation. l would go to the nearby clinic to watch how patients are being treated and attended to. l was keen and passionate about treating any wounds no matter how deep it was. l was so caring and compassionate about taking care of the sick, and older people. I began to be called Nurse by my friends and siblings. Since then,I was eager to become a nurse and the excitement of going to School of Nursing was so great. To cut a long story short, l entered and graduated from school of nursing.Looking back, l'am amazed at the professional skills l have built in nursing field. In where l work, l am noted for exceptional care delivery, frequently receiving written acknowledgement from patients and family. Part of my duties is to plan and implement nursing care for acute and critically ill patients, provide immediate post-anesthesia recovery for post operative patients.My competence include administering medications, assist physicians in treatment plans and examination, keep, maintain and update detailed records of the patient’s care, constant monitoring of vital signs, providing fluid therapy, oxygen therapy and giving vital nutrients to patients., offer parental support such as emotional encouragement to parents on how to take care of an infant when they return home and provide health education. l thrive on the pressure of a fast-paced and intense environment and can juggle several nursing assignment.
