I am currently looking after the FI, Correspondent & Investment Banking businesses at The Bank of Punjab-one of the fastest growing banks in Pakistan and poised to break into the Big Five over the next few years. Prior to this, I was managing the affairs of Investment Banking Group at UBL-Pakistan's second-largest private sector bank. In this role, I led an award-winning investment banking team operating both in Pakistan and the GCC. I have over 20-years of experience in Project Finance, Equity & Advisory and Debt Capital Markets and have been at the forefront of GoP’s and GoPb’s recent privatization drive. Over the years, working alongside domestic and international co-financiers and sponsors, I have successfully led project financings of over US$ 8bn in capital costs to-date.In addition to UBL, I have also worked at Standard Chartered where I was responsible for origination and structuring of Project Finance transactions for the Middle East and Pakistan regions. My areas of focus include projects in the energy, power, roads and telecom sectors, amongst others. I have been a part of several forums involved in policy advocacy and advisory on structural reforms for development of infrastructure in Pakistan. I am a frequent speaker at Investment Banking courses at my alma mater, the IBA.
