About Brandon Hessler
I am a software engineer, developer, physicist and a former U.S. Marine. I graduated with my Master's in Software Engineering from Penn State University. I have been working as a developer since May 2014 and am currently working both front end with Node.js, Javascript, and HTML/CSS as well as back-end with SQL Server (including optimization and stored procedure development); previously I developed back-end microservices using Spring Boot 2.0, running on Docker containers on a Linux server. I really enjoy both writing and designing software architecture.As a physicist, I have a dynamic academic background and excellent problem-solving skills, and am experienced in multifaceted leadership roles in engineering, research and military technology. Very comfortable working as a collaborative team player with a strong work ethic.I am not looking for new full-time opportunities at this time but am always available for freelance work.
