In my two decades of experience in journalism, I have been with NewsX-The Sunday Guardian, Mail Today, Hindustan Times and The Pioneer. Before joining NewsX and The Sunday Guardian as Senior Editor last year, I had worked for over four years in Mail Today. As its Deputy Editor, I used to edit the paper’s entire Sunday edition, including the cover, besides handling the daily features and edit/op-ed pages. All through, between 2014 and 2018, I have been the paper’s Books Editor too. Also, there were special supplements which I used to edit. I, for instance, was the Issue Editor of Mail Today’s much appreciated 10th Anniversary Issue, which came out in December 2017. I have also worked with Hindustan Times between 2008 and 2010. I was with the main nation desk in Delhi. My Hindustan Times stint helped me understand the importance of deadline in journalism. I left the organisation when I was offered to edit The Pioneer's Sunday supplement, Agenda. As for my stint in The Pioneer, besides looking after Agenda I was also the paper's Books Editor between 2010 and 2014. I was appreciated several times, both within and outside the organisation, for improving the quality and content of the section I was editing then. I also brought out all the special issues of The Pioneer, including the one celebrating the 150 years of the newspaper.
