About Uwe Scharf
Since June 22, 2020, I am the full time chaplain at The Chesapeake Retirement Community. I provide religious programming, spiritual care and counseling, and pastoral ministry to residents and staff in all levels of care: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Health Care. Our motto at "The Chesapeake" is "Freedom lives here."I also continue as a part-time "Instructor" at Regent University's School of Divinity in Virginia Beach, VA. CurrentIn January 2017 I joined the Faculty of Regent University's School of Divinity as a part-time faculty member in Theological, Historical, and Pastoral Studies. In the Spring and Summer 2017 semesters I have been teaching courses in Confessional Theology, Philosophy of Religion, Pastoral Theology, Early Christianity (until 500 C.E.), and a course in Hermeneutics and Spiritual Direction called "Applied Theology for Clinical Psychologists," offered at Regent's School for Psychology and Counseling.
