Since June 22, 2020, I am the full time chaplain at The Chesapeake Retirement Community. I provide religious programming, spiritual care and counseling, and pastoral ministry to residents and staff in all levels of care: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Health Care. Our motto at "The Chesapeake" is "Freedom lives here."I also continue as a part-time "Instructor" at Regent University's School of Divinity in Virginia Beach, VA. On average I am teaching one on-line course in each 8-week semester, at and I am profoundly grateful to be part of a community that practices and teaches "Christian Leadership to Change the World." Until November 18, 2016 I was the (sole) ACPE Supervisor at the “School for Clinical Pastoral Education” at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. I am also the former Director of Chaplaincy & CPE at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, as well as the previous Associate Director of Pastoral Services at Duke Hospital in Durham, NC.
