In the first phase of this project (May 2019 - July 2019), I have collaborated with colleagues to assess Trade Show Internet’s website bounce rates. Analyzed data trends, traffic sources, and metrics to understand where and why users were bouncing from their website. We completely redesigned its landing and product pages, reassessing its information architecture, established effective hierarchies, and oriented users with a defined call-to-action. Developed wireframes and prototypes based on Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to conduct usability testing and ensure functionality. Successfully identified design shortcomings and improved audience engagement and retention. These results led the company to hire me for this project’s second phase, which is to develop their entire website along with their web developer.

Led a cross-functional staff of 16 employees in launching and operating an event space and vacation destination capable of hosting audiences of 500+ and sleeping 50 during large events. Directed the revitalization of real estate property into a highly profitable event space, managing multiple simultaneous projects to effectively meet all required deadlines using task prioritization skills. Performed in-depth market research and competitive analysis to develop optimal client acquisition strategies and develop a unique service experience. Achieved status as the most-requested private event space in Maceió.

Researched, designed, prototyped, and tested various product components for Da Vinci Surgical Systems’ Surgeon Console in close collaboration with product designers and engineers at Stanford Research Institute’s (SRI) Robotics Division. Developed ideation and early product mockups to enable real-time user testing by surgical professionals; collected feedback to refine the design concept. Completed multiple iterations of testing and revision to ensure the optimal functioning of all components. Developed mockups of a surgical instrument drape system successful in covering all components of the Da Vinci System without compromising the sterilized surface.
