Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan studying the effects of aging on human gait. I use optimal control methods to simulate realistic human walking behavior based on experimental data.Previous work includes:.Studying stability in human walking and developing controllers that achieve human like stability in simulated bipeds. .Developing robot aided clinical tests to measure the effectiveness of rehabilitation techniques in stroke survivors..Using agent based models of flocking animals to understand obstacle avoidance in self-organized systems.Through my work I have experience in the following fields of research -- Physics based simulations of large scale non-linear dynamic systems.- Optimization, including trajectory optimal control.- Agent based models of animal movement.- System identification and data analysis applied to biomechanical systems.- Experimental measurements of human walking and running using wearable devices, motion capture systems, force plates, electromyography, indirect calorimetry and custom robotic systems.I have experience using the following tools and software for data collection, analysis and simulation -. Programming - MATLAB, Python, LabView, C and C++ with git for version control. 3D Motion Capture - Vicon Nexus, Qualisys Track Manager (QTM). Electromyography (EMG) - Delsys Avanti.. Indirect calorimetry - Cosmed.. Mechatronics - Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PIC, mBed.. Real-time control - SIMULINK, dSpace.. Machine learning - Tensorflow and Keras.. Musculoskeletal biomechanics - OpenSim and Scone.
