Leads NPI teams to drive requirements and execute customers product designs from concept to production including specification, tooling and fixtures design, prototyping, documentation, release control, validation and testing. Evaluates new technologies and tools as opportunities for innovation and development excellence. Leads specific technical improvements (maintenance, reliability, production, process improvement, management systems, supply chain, EHS) and leads multiple teams through organizational change efforts of varying size and complexity. Directs change management, processes industrial automation, and tools design to focus on driving financial and operational results for the clients. Works on multidisciplinary projects requiring materials and process knowledge in composite processing; practical skills from the engineering toolbox and industrial experience in composites formulating and processing. Directs product/process qualifications programs and standards/specification compliance. Directs activities on strategic planning, research and implementation of automation of advanced manufacturing processes. R&D, NRE and NDP, NPI. Provide design, materials and process solutions for the next generation of commercial composites intensive passenger vehicles. Develops and implement significant process technologies allowing break through advantage. Acts as a mentor and role model engaging the engineering staff in technical excellence. Responsible for leading parts of the organization in program execution. This is a highly complex and specialized position. Works on multidisciplinary projects requiring materials and process knowledge in composite matrices, reinforcements, adhesives and coatings; specific knowledge of thermoset chemistry and processing; practical skills from the engineering toolbox; and industrial experience in composites formulating and processing. Leading projects on conceptualization, design, build and efficient use of robotic cells in composite industry, including material placement, parts processing and handling.
