Early in my career, I got good exposure to constructing technical solutions for business challenges. I acquired practical knowledge by overseeing the development, deployment, and testing of the Ingestion and Streaming module built on top of a generic archetype, specifically designed for seamless integration with the company's core payments domain.For the first 2 years in my next company, I spearheaded independent efforts within the carrier integrations team. My role involved addressing ambiguities and refining the carrier onboarding processes, managing multiple carrier tracking data sources concurrently i.e. file feeds, webhooks and API feeds. I focused on resolving bugs and optimising codebases, resulting in a significant reduction of carrier go-live timelines from several days to mere hours. Additionally, these initiatives alleviated challenges related to cross-team communications, contributing to a more streamlined and efficient workflow.Next, we engineered several software systems to phase out legacy systems and discontinue the use of third-party tools and processes. This move enabled us to automate carrier onboarding processes, significantly diminishing both code and process redundancies. The outcome was a swifter onboarding process for carriers, particularly in the realm of webhook tracking data. Our systems seamlessly managed over 10 million daily transactions, highlighting our proficiency in scalable system design.Lastly, I also played a key role in architecting and designing Restful APIs to facilitate the scheduling of bookings with carriers. This initiative not only enhanced Narvar's customer experience but also introduced a novel return-via-pickup option, complementing the traditional return-via-label method.
