My thesis titled "The Need for Educational Qualifications for Elected Members: A Study" fills the legal loophole in the current Indian and international legal framework on the need for educated lawmakers. In a country like India, prescribing minimum educational qualification to the persons contesting elections to the law making body is all the more imperative seeing the current challenges of disruptions, low quality of Bills passed, etc. My groundbreaking research compares Indian democracy with the UK, Canada, and Malaysia in the context of the Global Democracy Index, 2021. Interesting questions have been posed and answered in my research filling in the existing gap in this domain.
