In my former life, I taught in schools at every level (preschool to university - science, math, tech), was a SCUBA researcher, legal assistant, and marketing assistant in addition to a variety of other titles. After I had my kids, I took a break from the classroom until 2016. At that time, I jumped back into public schools to help teachers integrate technology in their classrooms, build and sustain all of the district websites, direct their digital communications and develop community outreach for independent learning in the area of technology. I taught teachers how to integrate Google Suite, Digital Citizenship, web design, and many other tools into their classrooms. One of my greatest achievements was successfully advocating for a device for each student in the district and developing a system to vet programs for privacy safety. I adore finding and sharing tools that can lighten a teacher's load or create connections in a new, effective way.During my break from the classroom, I developed BonBon Break an online magazine for women, covering various topics from recipes, crafts, and children's activities, to musings on life, humor, inspiration, parenting tips, and more. I proudly led this community where bloggers and writers showcase their material in a way that respects and honors their individual sites, creative rights, and content. This philosophy ensured that our readers were served the finest content online in one beautiful space.While working at the district, I was helping a friend with her social media presence since she was traveling a lot. She turned me on to another client and soon, 2 became 5 and I made the choice to become my own boss. Focusing on social media strategy, brand development and digital marketing has been incredibly fulfilling.When I was an educator I had the life-changing chance to participate in two NASA curriculum development workshops that focused on Universal Design. This influenced every facet of my classroom and now, my business. Build for accessibility. This has carried into web design and development as well as social media marketing, the focus is always on the audience. Who are they and what do they need to gain access?
