- Conducted experiments and analyses on the neuro-protective effects of a Serotonin 2A Receptor peptide (following sham vs. mild traumatic brain injury).- Proficiently performed Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and Protein A Affinity Chromatography to detect whether antibodies were present in older adults following traumatic brain injury. - Results suggest antibodies lead to substantial decline in cognitive function, independent of age.

I provide specialized care to 15-20 patients per day by performing patient assessments and both analyzing and completing patient charting. Moreover, I facilitated patient treatment plans by ordering labs and prescriptions through the eClinical system. I assisted in inputting symptoms, prescriptions, and diagnoses into the system to facilitate treatment plans. Using my proficient language skills, I assisted physician Dr. Mark Kharkover in communicating with Spanish-speaking patients in hopes to ease the language barrier.

This private practice uses both traditional western medical management of rheumatologic ailments, as well as integrative options for total “wellness”, such as acupuncture, cognitive therapy, diet and exercise counseling, and environmental toxin counseling to treat patients. - I learned how to detect vitamin deficiencies and monitor inflammation levels through various types of testing such as mild bony mineralization, bone density testing, omega check baseline, and testing mercury levels.- Learned the key supplements used for rheumatological patients such as omega flax oil, fish oil, magnesium, vitamin D, and multivitamins- Studied genetic markers and symptoms for rheumatoid arthritis and other auto-immune disorders.
