In this new role from Holland America Line, I am the brand’s ambassador to 2,000+ guests per sailing. One of my main areas of focus is on masterful delivery of informative and entertaining EXC (Explorations Central) Talks and Port Talks to educate guests on what to see, do, and experience in destinations. I also host signature events such as "Ask the Captain" and "New to Holland America Line?" along with other key guest functions. I shape the cruise experience arc by providing useful information on stage prior to performances and making concise and informative announcements via the public address system throughout the day. I produce and host live experiences that give audiences an opportunity to listen to, learn from, and engage with National Geographic talent. My responsibilities include:- Innovate ways to incorporate new media such as piloting and hosting a Facebook Live interview series with an average viewership of 983 on a page with a median video viewership of 89- Edit marketing videos for television, social, and web- Ideate, design, and edit event content including opening sizzle video and pre-show slide loops - Research and source digital media assets, secure releases, clear rights, and assemble legal binders for original productions to adhere to compliance requirements- Create and enhance Keynote and PowerPoint presentations for speakers and executives- Update and maintain Technical Rider based on current standards in the audio visual industry- Offer on the ground training, assistance, and quality assurance in our partner venues as they produce our events

During my career I worked on five ships. Most recently I was on the Allure of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world at that time. - Lived and worked at sea onboard five vessels with guest capacities ranging from 2,110 to 5,494- Collaborated with crew members from around the world as part of the entertainment team to produce excellent and memorable guest experiences and customer service- Filmed and edited entertainment events, game shows, and parties for the Cruise in Review DVD- Created onboard television content by directing and recording live shows using robotic and manual cameras- Directed and switched multi-camera recordings of Broadway style production shows, ice skating shows, and entertainment ranging from singers to comedians to magicians to jugglers- Filmed, edited, and co-hosted daily Morning Show with the Director of Entertainment- Scheduling, updating, and monitoring custom content and satellite television channels to meet the brand standards and guest needs- Performing routine maintenance on broadcast equipment including: cameras, cables, computers, media servers, editing systems, projectors, LED Walls, and televisions- Acquiring and maintaining satellite television signals on Orbit and SeaTel systemsIn addition, I served as Production Assistant for several projects including: Chick-fil-A Charter Cruise, Coca-Cola Freestyle and Royal Caribbean advertisement, and a Royal Caribbean recruitment video.My proudest accomplishment with Royal Caribbean was directing, producing, and editing the documentary “Liberty of the Seas Presents: Saturday Night Fever The Musical.” This piece is now being shown on every Royal Caribbean ship around the world.

I did two 9-month national tours with Silver Ring Thing. We produced a concert style live event several days a week in over 120 cities. We traveled with our own sound, light, and video equipment - setting and striking the same day as the event in every venue. As the Live Event Video Director I had several responsibilities:- Design video programming for three hour live events using three cameras, two video mixers, and video presentation software- Assemble trussing, video equipment, and cabling for live shows; including robotic cameras, video switchers, media server, and projectors- Video playback and IMAGing speakers and entertainers throughout the eventI also wrote and performed comedy sketches and informative speeches.I developed the School Assembly version of our show - still in place today.I also aided as Production Assistant on several projects with tasks including driving, material pick-up, camera operation, lighting, and script writing.

After interning at Silver Ring Thing in the summer of 2006, I was asked to oversee and further grow the internship program the following year.For those 4 months I:- Trained, supervised, and guided a team of five college interns - Planned and implemented a weeklong internship experience for 30 high school students from around the world. This Included arranging for housing, transportation, and food in addition to developing the curriculum.- Researched, wrote, and designed a newsletter sent to 1,500 sponsors generating increased financial supportAfter successful completion of this project I was invited to join the Nation Travel Team (see above).

I was the first member of the Marketing and Communications Team at FrenchCreek. I helped develop the program and the marketing direction of the organization.In this position I:- Filmed and edited multiple industrial, short films demonstrating various fall protection products - Wrote and edited scripts for product videos used to enhance marketing and salesperson training- Organized and instructed actors and models during photo and video shoots- Developed creativity and Photoshop skills by producing product fliers for reference by salesmen and customersThis position started as an internship. I have been asked back several times to complete short-term projects.
