Responsible for asset management, scheduling, configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and upgrading over 260 multi-platform networking devices which include switches, routers, VPN’s and IPS’s connected to Fiber, Copper, and wireless media.Responds daily to network incidents ranging from single individual user connectivity issues to large scale outages, by interacting and gathering information with Field Technicians and Customers, applying the 7 Layer OSI troubleshooting mythology. Able to properly use various networking Hardware/Software testing equipment such as cable testers, loopback plugs, CLI Commands to restore connectivity. Very knowledgeable on Cisco and Brocade router/switch CLI, with experience performing break-fix procedures, password recovery, and renewing corrupt IOS configurationsRoutinely fulfill request through HP Service Manager ticketing system to patch new users, printers, and within site moves, along with configuring seat upgrades/downgrades and VLAN changes as necessary for specified job rolls Completed adding 25 Cisco 2921 routers operating in a classified enclave (SECRET), by scheduling all maintenances, configuring IOS, and troubleshooting user connectivity Successfully upgraded, configured, and installed over 100 new Unclassified WAN/LAN routers and switches divided into 8 distribution layers zones for end of life replacement and 10G implementation by upgrading line cards and modules on Cisco 6500 Routers, Cisco 4305 and Brocade FCX Switches.
