The capability essentially appled competitive intelligence methods to the buy side. Capabilities included supply market analysis, cost analysis (should cost, total cost of ownership), price analysis, spend analysis, supplier risk assessments (financial and other drivers). Offerings included self service tools for category managers, internal consulting, and actual development of strategic direction using intelligence tools.
