A graduate of Communication Arts from De La Salle University in the Philippines, Van is a UAE-based project manager with extensive experience in the hospitality, events, and tourism industry.Van honed his hospitality skills through various roles at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. He began his UAE career at Fairmont Dubai and subsequently held various positions within the Sales and Marketing Department. Over a four-year period, he became a vital contributor to the department, excelling both administratively and operationally.For over six years, Van was a project manager at Venue and Concept Tourism, a specialized destination management company based in Dubai. He managed key accounts from Spain, Portugal, and the Philippines, playing a pivotal role in securing numerous bespoke and group business.During Expo 2020, Van facilitated B2B2C focused international trade engagements and marketing partnerships with global hospitality and tourism partners across key markets. His work involved negotiating ticket reseller agreements, designing joint-funded campaigns, creating new travel packages, and organizing major global exhibitions.Currently, a key member of Expo City Dubai’s Marketing and Communications team, leading global B2B engagements. Through strategic collaborations with tourism stakeholders, operators, and airlines, Van has successfully unlocked various revenue-generating opportunities for the city, focusing on destination marketing initiatives.
