I am currently a student at Azusa Pacific University, where I am working toward a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in the healthcare profession. Prior to, I finished my general education at Diablo Valley College, while taking courses in the health sciences. Furthermore, I attended Heald College where I graduated with my AAS with an emphasis in Medical Assisting. During my Heald College career I performed many medical tasks including specimen collection, blood draws and injections, EKG administration and interpretation, temperatures and vital signs, medical transcriptions, and became skilled with various computer software applications. In addition to the medical knowledge and skills I obtained, I also became skilled in various computer software applications, gained satisfactory typing skills, and a comprehensive understanding of business management. Upon graduation from Heald, I completed my externship at Solano Dermatology Associates where I gained even more valuable medical knowledge and hands on experience. I am currently a state certified medical assistant and carry current CPR and AED certifications. My background also includes several years experience in customer service and business management.
