I have always been amused by how scientists study microbes through research, statistics, and evolutionarily. I was a biology laboratory assistant at the University of California, Merced. Daily, I was surrounded by cell cultures, rare stained cells, and assays. I aim to work smart and gain enough experience to specialize as a laboratory scientist and continue my education in microbial evolution towards a pHD. Only days after graduating, I started working as a Research Associate for DiaSorin Molecular, where I worked in the R&D department. I worked with COVID-19, H. Pylori, and FluA/B/RSV. Before completing one year at DiaSorin, I was contacted by the CEO of SDI labs to work as an innovative R&D lab technician. Now I am the Group Lead for the R&D Clinical Development team at Quest Diagnostics. I am always looking for new research opportunities and enjoy conversations with like-minded and work-oriented people.
