Together with our directors, Product Development Manager, product formulators, Quality Assurance Manager and external consultants, the Technical & Regulatory Specialist is responsible for maintaining and ensuring product regulatory and legal compliance globally. This includes responsibility for: initiating and maintaining a schedule of relevant challenge tests, stability/compatibility studies, and stress and transit testing; coordinating and supervising clinical studies and derma testing; commissioning, compiling and updating of safety assessments, safety data sheets, and all other documentation required for the Product Information Files (in accordance with EU regulations); and advising on any client or customer queries and regulatory matters.

As Head of Strategic Account Management I am responsible for the management of the full sales cycle for a group of nominated accounts to maximize mutual value and achieve mutually beneficial goals. To ensure consulting services for the client are delivered according to the contract in terms of timeliness, quality and in line with the agreed service levels.Keyrus allocates an account manager for all strategic clients. The role of the Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is to take responsibility for a complex set of relationships and co-ordinate the input from a team of people in order to craft an effective account plan, assemble the correct team for meeting the client requirements and manage a trusted long-term client partnership to maximise the overall success of the relationship. The SAM holds remote and onsite visits with the client both during active projects and between engagements, the frequency of these visits is determined by the account plan and in consultation with the client. Within Keyrus, Account Management plays 6 key roles which benefit the client by building a cohesive relationship with visibility into all stages of a project. The SAM may not be able to play all of these roles, but that one person needs to take responsibility for ensuring that all of these are brought to bear at the appropriate time & in the correct manner within the accounts that they manage. During my time in the healthcare industry I coordinated clinical research studies across public hospitals leading all stages of the study from project inception, interaction with governmental and regulatory authorities to the publication of results in international medical journals. In addition to this I have completed a post graduate diploma in forensic healthcare and several medical law courses at Masters level.The healthcare industry largely functions on an evidence based approach founded on the belief that data is superior to expert opinion, and in this sense recognised the value of data driven decision making long before other sectors. It only stands to reason that the industry would conduct business processes in the same manner. However; healthcare, especially in South Africa, has lagged behind in instituting new technology to leverage this information. I am both passionate and determined to reform and optimise the healthcare sphere using analytical solutions.
