I-Ophthalmology is a smart, same day ophthalmology which requires less hands-on time from an individual ophthalmologist whilst meeting the needs of more patients. Our technology (AI) which is in development pre-screens the severity of acute eye conditions in less then 2 minutes, which is then validated by real - time ophthalmologists hence creating an efficient and accurate ophthalmic care ecosystem. I-Ophthalmology aspires to be part of a global solution to reach patients in parts of the world that would not ordinarily have access to eye care and are at the highest risk for visual impairment. I-Ophthalmology is current 2nd place winners at the EIT Health Innovation Fellowship Alumni Showcase 2017.

New from Harvard in 2020, the HealthTech Fellowship offers a one-of-a-kind 10-month immersion that will leave its fellows equipped to use the proven Biodesign innovation framework to reimagine the healthcare industry. The program runs annually from August through May.

Inspired and modeled in the prestigious Stanford University’s Biodesign Fellowship that seeks to train a team of fellows in the process of biodesign. Design Health Barcelona seeks change-makers. It takes the initiative to solve real, global, major challenges in the healthcare and medical technologies industries starting up new, innovative business models, products and services.

Achievements- Performance Medicine Lead across 14 sites globally, whilst managing continuous operations on 5 continents of 21+ full time, and 15 part time Physiotherapists and Athletic Trainers from 6 different countries and provided medical services to 1200 + athletes from over 40 countries.- Instrumental in the implementation of injury prevention ecosystem which resulted in a 64% increase in injury prevention services to the touring division in one year.- Instrumental in departmental change in Performance Medicine Services which demonstrated a 34% reduction in injury recovery timelines.- Stimulated a 19% increase in annual therapy service productivity following benchmarking and implementation of key performance indicators. - Creation and Innovation team for Kurios, Luzia, Toruk (Avatar) and Volta- Lead Medical closure teams for 6 shows.Governance - Mitigated medico-legal risk with the establishment of defensible documentation standards and patient chart audits.- Managed and monitored new electronic medical records and injury surveillance system roll out which improved clinical auditing and data analysis capacities.- Implemented risk management strategies to address physician referral practices resulting in significant reduction in litigious actions towards the company.Relationship and Team Building - Built academic network and industry expert relationships to support injury prevention, best clinical practice, performance loading, design and analysis.- Established multidisciplinary relationships between Performance Medicine, Coaching and Human Resource departments.- Developed and implemented “ Standards of Professional Practice “ which elevated internal professional Contribution.- Liaised with the global medical community, when necessary, to ensure that appropriate medical resources and contact exist for artists care and follow up.
