I combine a gentle blend of stretching and massage into my therapy sessions by using, remedial massage, myofascial release, crainalsaceral therapy and bowen dynamics techniques, to promote healing, release and pain relief.The therapies are based on research that poor posture, physical injury, illness and emotional stress can throw the body out of alignment and cause its intricate web of fascia to become tight and constricted which can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures. The effective hands-on techniques involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion in the fascial network that links every organ and tissue in the body with every other part. Pressure on the bones, muscles, joints and nerves is relieved in the process, and balance is restored. The release of tension on the body allows more functional flexibility and mobility of the muscles, fascia and associated structures. Release may also facilitate the emergence of negative or repetitive emotional patterns, which have interfered with the healing process.My sessions take one hour and techniques are performed directly on skin without oil. This enables accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.
