Vanessa's life summary as a Facilitator, Mentor, Organizor, Motivator, Youth Director, Mental Health Professional, Motivational Speaker, Educator, Encourager and Couselor. From 1980 to present, have dedicated my time working to help youth in rural and urban diverse population: Beginning at Cole Elementary School in West Oakland, CA. I formed, created, organized, trained my first community drill team named "Cole Colettes". From there more teams were created.1981- 1994 at the Acorn community center in West Oakland, CA."The Westside Stompers" community drill team.1994-1986 at the YMCA in Richmond, CA. " The Top Stars of Paradise" drill team.1996-2001 at WCCCC and New Faith Cathedral in Richmond, CA. "The Steppers for Christ" drill team. In 1999 the Heavenly Doves Praise Dancers, 2001 in University Park, IL "The University Park Steppers" drill team. Additionally In Blue Island, IL as Youth Director and Minister "The Anointed Hands of Praise Dancers", and "the C.G. Steppers". Creating Special events such as: The Spirit of Praise, The Christian Ball, Mother and Daughter Lucheon. In 2009, I had a Grand opening of "Safe-Grounds Youth Performing Art Center" in Calumet City, IL. Where "The SGY Steppers" Drill, Dance and Drama team was Created. Because I haven't been able to find a location to teach:Currently, I am working as a Mental Health Professional for teen girls through The Department of Children and Family Services in Chicago, IL. However, my Ambitions and dream is to one day have my own Facility. A Safe Haven for Youth".
