Conducted plot surveys of vegetation and assessed soils and hydrology within the managed area. Conducted weekly surveys for a variety of fauna including snakes, monarchs, bats, and small mammals at Milwaukee's parks. Rhinelander, Wisconsin

Monitored wood turtle nests during the nesting season with a graduate research project. Our goal was to determine the main cause of mortality for wood turtles in northern Wisconsin. I also rehabilitated state natural areas through long-running restoration projects; I applied herbicide, cut brush, and hand-pulled invasive plant species in Oneida and nearby.

Worked to rehabilitate various song birds, raptors, and small mammals that were either injured, abandoned, or unable to survive in the wild. I prepared meals, weighed animals, and sanitized enclosures. This position required that I understand animal behavior, data collection, and community outreach.
