She possesses an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS)/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.In the field of public health, Dr. Griffith is an aspiring infectious disease epidemiologist and biostatistician. She is principally interested in understanding the strategies employed by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to evade human innate and adaptive immune responses and the pharmacological effects of anti-tubercular and anti-retroviral drugs. Her objective is to utilize the knowledge gained from these strategies to spearhead the development of more potent drugs against tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS. Dr. Griffith is also progressively self-taught in SQL, R, and Python, and intends to implement these and other programming languages in order to enable data-driven decisions necessary to improving domestic and global TB and HIV/AIDS programs. Moreover, Dr. Griffith is interested in preventing and controlling the infectious disease and environmental threats which adversely impact the readiness and combat power of the Army and its warfighters. In the midst of the ongoing battle between Russia and Ukraine for superiority in cyberspace and the electromagnetic spectrum, Dr. Griffith is actively engaged in educating Soldiers about existing, emerging, and potential cyberspace and electromagnetic threats and how to respond to them defensively in operational environments. Additionally, she is an active member of the amateur radio community and enjoys participating in high frequency (HF) radio communication, summits on the air (SOTA) chasing, parks on the air (POTA) hunting, and fox hunting (radio direction finding), and is currently learning how to communicate with the International Space Station (ISS). She possesses an Amateur Extra (AE) amateur radio license and her call sign is KO4KMJ.Finally, as a military HR professional, Dr. Griffith has administratively supported over 1,800 Army Soldiers at the company, battalion, and brigade levels.
