• My role currently involves embedding sustainability in the curriculum at the University of Central Lancashire. I currently lead a research mapping project on seventeen courses; working with a wide range of stakeholders, from senior management to students and researching the role of education in the sustainability movement. • I have engaged particularly with students in many different ways such as surveys, workshops, questionnaires and social media. • The work is currently being overseen as well by the National Union of Students (NUS) and will play a part in the future of sustainability in the curriculum at the University. • The role has enabled me to work with many different groups of people and use my connections from previous work experience to develop the reach and development of the project. Working within the Green Ladder Project exposed me to other areas of sustainability. I was involved in trips to local recycling plants, bee projects, growing my own food in the campus allotments, water saving campaign, Green Impact, Green Week, fracking debates and visits to other universities to visit their Green Projects

My role involved predominantly in the development of faith, interest, creative, academic, campaign and international student groups and societies. I offered administrative support and personal development in a fast paced environment. This included anything from helping them with room bookings, venue hires, promotion material, transport hiring, finance, budgeting and pre-affiliation introductory sessions. I liaised with internal, external companies and departments on their behalf to support their event management, the Give It a Go activities program and Fresher’s Societies Fair. I dealt with a range of problems and enquiries in a swift manner and tracked group progression. I led development sessions with the committees as well as working on the student employability skills training sessions. I also worked on our Union Cloud website and social media to aid society exposure, online promotion and elections. During my internship society numbers increased from 50 to 93. I understand and communicate well with students.

Integrated Masters of Science in Archaeology. Graduated December 2014 with a 2:2 grade.

I was involved in writing and edited news regarding societies affiliated with the Union in the student run newspaper Pluto. I was in contact with societies in addition to attending their events and reported about them for the paper. I was involved in the development of the page from the initial research to the final editing stages.

I assisted in the management and development of our 50 societies. The work consisted of administrative task, customer support, updating the membership database, using social media to communicate and expand the reach of societies and their events.

My role involved being the primary point of contact with students in the Union Building. I answered inquiries and problems, connected students to societies, clubs, financial services, accommodation, job search and voluntary positions. I also helped run the social media sites; advertising jobs, opportunities and events going on within the campus.

I volunteered as the main elected administrator of an Interest society, as well as liaising between the members and the Students Union. In this role I was the primary organiser; leading and planning events for the membership. Under my time as chair we went from having 20 members to 65 members and the society won the award for Most Active Society in 2013.
