​The Arcadia Unified School District Digital Communications Internship Program is a selective program that is an essential part of the Communications and Public Information Office at AUSD. The program is equivalent to an Advanced Placement (AP) course which prepares students with college and career-ready skills. The specialties covered in the program consist of the following: journalism (including broadcast, print, and digital), communications, video production, marketing, public relations, media relations, crisis communications, event planning, social media, graphic design, business and real world skills such as interview techniques, ethics and professionalism.

As the Podcast Manager for the AUSD podcast, "Keepin' It Arcadia" (Season 6), I led the podcast team to create weekly podcast episodes. From interviewing to editing, our team worked hard together to create high quality episodes efficiently, while also having a strong team connection.

Upon proposing the idea of starting a Tik Tok account for the Arcadia Unified School District to the Chief Communications and Public Information Officers at AUSD through a vivid presentation, the Tik Tok account was opened and I was promoted to the manager of that account.I manage all aspects of the account, create videos, post, and lead a group of interns that create videos in order to positively display the school district and we are working together in order to grow the account and reach a larger audience.

This opportunity was an intensive course that provided knowledge and exposure to cardiothoracic surgery and technical skills, including knot tying, dissection, suturing, coronary artery bypass graft, and cardiac valve replacement. Through a variety of interactive lectures conducted and supervised by Stanford University faculty, surgical residents, and staff, my knowledge on cardiothoracic surgery greatly expanded. Some topics of these lectures included: biology and physiology, anatomy, electrocardiogram and stress testing, echocardiography and cardiac imaging, cardiopulmonary bypass, coronary artery disease, cardiac valve disease, aortic disease and surgery, heart transplant, congenital/pediatric cardiac surgery, lung cancer and surgery, and esophageal cancer and surgery. These lectures allowed me to understand principles of cardiac and thoracic diseases and surgery.Along with this, the skills aspect of the internship was also very eye opening. I learned knot tying, the handling of surgical instruments, incisions and suturing, as well as receiving an introduction to porcine heart dissection.

Led by Dr. Keerthy Sunder, MD, a group of interns and I work together to run the various social media platforms for Karma TMS, in addition to writing blogs. The work done on the social media platforms attracts patients to the psychiatric practice each month, and allows for patients to receive the innovative healthcare that they deserve.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Keerthy Sunder, MD, the Karma TMS interns and I are working together to write a research paper pertaining to a patient case study about ADHD.

Amnesty International is an international organization consisting of millions of people, urging for human rights for all people. Amnesty International is the world's largest grassroots human rights organization. We research and advocate human rights topics including: ending gun violence, women's rights, identity and sexuality rights, and much more.By starting a student group organization for Amnesty International in Arcadia, the officer team and I aim to educate students about human rights, as well as make a difference in the field.

As President of Amnesty International Arcadia, I work with the rest of the wonderful leadership team to run club meetings, organize events, present about different human rights topics to club members, and more! I aim to create a positive and healthy environment for the leadership team as well as club members and always strive to be open-minded to new ideas, suggestions, and advice, as I believe that every individual has something unique and valuable to offer. Listening and connecting with others allows for you to understand new perspectives and outlooks on different topics, and I do this consistently in this club.

Medical Marvels is an international student led nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting medical literacy and awareness. Through student published articles and opportunities related to medicine and research, we aim to educate others through our COVID-19 Awareness Campaign and much more.

As Research Department Director, I work with the rest of the Medical Marvels Los Angeles team to determine topics to write and educate our audience about. My team and I write several articles monthly and I revise and edit each member's article as needed.

Under the guidance of Keck School of Medicine of USC faculty, my mentors Dr. Sanda Win (MBBS, PhD) and Dr. Tin Aung Than (PhD, MD), from the liver research laboratory, guided me through biomedical research. I observed and learned lab safety, routine lab procedures, created gel and buffer, and performed gel electrophoresis.

World Education Criticism Project is a nonprofit youth-led organization, pursuing a qualitative and equal education for all students around the world through shouting out and solving problems of the current world’s education. We are now vocalizing about various education problems around the world through our research and real-life experiences. We also plan campaigns, workshops, and provide diverse virtual activities so that we can contribute to change the ineradicable educational issues.We have accepted to be part of Harvard's CYES CO2 Innovation Fellow. In addition, we already held 2 networking meet-ups and workshops regarding to the educational themes with CTRL LIST, the educational youth-led organization in Myanmar, and Open Coffee Youth, the official youth networking empowering NGO in Poland. Our educational networking meet-ups were recognized by the UN special advisor. We are expanding our connections through our partnerships with great institutions such as MASIS, IncluTech and KTA.

The Stanford Women in Medicine Mentorship Program is an undergraduate group founded to help high school students navigate the pre-med path, with an emphasis in supporting and addressing issues commonly faced by female students.Pre-med students at Stanford University aim to provide guidance and information to high school students interested in pursuing careers pertaining to medicine. Specifically, with an aim to reach out to women in leadership positions in medically related fields as a means of inspiring women to close the gender gap currently seen in leadership roles in medicine.As a member of the Stanford Women in Medicine Mentorship Program, I attended meetings, talked to my mentors and learned from them, and attended workshops to further my information about the medical field, learn more about the lifestyle as a student in medicine, and to learn more about useful things to do during my time in high school to succeed in my future path in medicine.

I read and annotated a research paper about cancer research, specifically the inactivation of Human Papillomavirus E6 or E7 Gene in Cervical Carcinoma Cells using a bacterial CRISPR/CAS RNA-Guided Endonuclease. Then with my group, I created a presentation that we then presented to other interns. In addition to this, we had daily guest speakers from a variety of backgrounds come and talk to us, such as PhD graduates, MD/PhD graduates, researchers, and etc. We attended a wide range of workshops, including a college essay workshop, college admission workshop, and leadership workshop.
