The objective of the NL PMO (Project Management Office within the Netherlands) is to implement, support and maintain a consistent and efficient level of oversight, control and support at all lifecycle stages of an engagement (contracts) within the Business Unit NL (i.e. qualification to closure). This includes accurate and up-to-date engagement reporting using the consistent corporate visibility system (Health Check), as well as spearheading the Early Risk Management Process within involved BU’s, and being a leader for mandatory opportunity risk review activities according to relevant guidelines.Furthermore, the PMO actively supports development and improvement of a BU’s project management capabilities by collaborating with the BU’s PM Practice Leader in:• Assigning (and periodically reviewing) project manager levels and project complexity classifications• Supporting and conducting knowledge-sharing sessions • Providing mentoring of fellow PMs • Promoting available project management training and other initiatives • Developing additional project management curriculum and content• Leveraging project management talent strategically within the Business Unit The PMO also has the responsibility of keeping the Corporate Engagement Assessment Services Group (EAS) informed of the BU’s activities on those opportunities and engagements that fall under its jurisdiction The role of the PMO is critical to CGI’s success, as it is not only an important source of oversight and control for the BU and provides a value add to bid teams, engagement managers and BU management.
