About Diego Vargas

As a scientist, I am curious about emergent phenomena. This is derived from my studies of non-linear and collective dynamics. As an engineer, most of my work consisted in developing computational models, later validated through experiments. Thus I have worked both as a theoretician and experimentalist, with experience modeling and cell biology. I have served as the link between groups at a medical center and engineering department, teaching me to navigate interdisciplinary projects.As a professional, I seek to utilize my abilities in an efficient collaborative environment in applied science. In drug discovery, I have used by skills at integrating distinct data sources to gain biological insight for target identification through image analysis, knowlege graphs, and machine learning.
