Direct live news cast using the Ignite system. Operate the Vinten robotics studio cameras.

Director of multiple camera live to air pledge drives. The pledge drives have several hosts and guests on set at the same time. The hosts and guests are postioned on different marks within the studio. Because of the different positioning I coordinated with my camera crew as to where and when they needed to change their postions. At times there are live performers, musicians, singers, and dancers. My responsibility was to rehearse with the preformers and to coordinate it all with the camera crew, audio, and technical director. I also went over lighting cues for a scene change with the lighting director. For the pledge drives I usually had a crew of ten people.I also directed a political talk show. The show has two hosts with two or three local politicians as guests. At times we would have a fiber feed from a remote location with another guest. We take that feed and present it in a monitor located on set, so the guest becomes a part of the conevrsation.

Technical directing and calling of live and pre-taped newscasts in a state-of-the-art High Definition control room for the nation’s first high definition news network. Oversaw all newscasts for creativity and quality control. Directed live and recorded productions, through accurate selecting, calling and coordination of video, graphic and audio elements. Coordinated all aspects of newscast with the line producer to ensure smooth on-air execution. Managed control room personnel during show shifts. Technical director responsibility included switching shows on Grass Valley KalypsoHD switcher and integrating on-air elements with Pixel Power Clarity Still Store, Grass Valley NewsQ Plus Clip Playback, and Vertigo X-Play Media graphics solution. Also have a working knowledge of Vinten Camera Robotics and Sony Digital Audio Console.

Job duties included but not limited to, electronic field production, audio operator for studio and sports remote shoots. EFP responsibilty to cover and shoot corporate spondsored events working close with Public and Government Affairs personnel. Director of photograhpy for a local news magazine show. Covered stories of human interest and fun things to do around Long Island. During studio recordings and sport remotes I operated the audio board. Cueing and playing music on the directors cue. Putting the microphones on the guest and ensuring that we are recieving good audio levels from all playback sources.In 2002 I started directing a live to tape political talk show for the Government Affairs department. Government Affairs along with a Local Programming producer would invite a local politician to discuss any activities or special projects that they are looking to promote. Working with the producer we coordinated all of the show elements, video in which I was responsible for shooting, full screen graphics, and lower thirds to ensure a timely and clean professional broadcast.
