One of two math lead teachers, and ten other institute facilitators, who push 75 early career teachers to embrace the complexities of the classroom and to explore the art of teaching through the lenses of subject mastery, social justice and creativity. This close quarters intensive two-week residential program challenges participants to work collaboratively and is designed to set participants on a path to become more thoughtful leaders in the classroom and within their schools.

Spark in the redesign of our “regular” math track with an end goal of statistics for the majority of students. Lead teacher on the first two courses in the track which rely heavily on Khan Academy to provide students with the opportunity to learn through metacognition.Work with teachers in solidifying their understanding of software and supporting them as they incorporate interactive media in the classroom. Responsible for assessing teacher tech needs and ordering equipment (interactive white boards, document cameras, scanners, laptops).Writes policies that help guide technology policies across the curriculum.

Aided the Dean of Students in various areas of the residential life program. This included but is not limited to responsibilities regarding discipline, housing, opening of school, student council, weekend permissions, emergency procedures, prefect selection and the advisory system. Included as a Dean on Duty and rotated with ten other administrators as the point person on campus during weekends. Developed and helped in implementing a system in which discipline has been tied into the housing lottery system.
