At Electrovaya, I wrote a custom MATLAB script based on a mathematical model to predict battery SoC in real-time based on physical parameters. I then converted the MATLAB model into C for easy integration with the existing BMS code base.

At Teledyne DALSA, I was a part of the custom scanning cameras team where I assisted with testing and verification of high-performance CCD and CMOS sensors for imaging applications. Some of my other responsibilities included assembling camera hardware components and conducting root cause analysis. I also performed test runs in MATLAB and LabView in order to ensure optimal sensor performance to meet customer needs.

I worked on stimuli-responsive iontronics in the Aizenberg group. Iontronics is the bridge between solid-state electronics and biological systems. My work involved researching active materials which produce responses in a dynamic environment. Specifically, I explored voltage generation across photoswitchable membranes which I helped to engineer. This project allowed me to develop skills in polymer science, chemistry, circuit design, data analysis, and report writing.

I was given the primary responsibility of developing a red blood cell filtration device which included 3D printed components and considered various biological constraints. Secondarily, I was developing an allergen-specific IgE assay for point of care testing.

As an entrepreneur in training, I completed an intense 40+ hour entrepreneurship boot camp, followed by 15 weeks of micro-placements with start-ups in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. I assisted the start-ups with objective-driven projects to help them reach critical business milestones

Helped develop a nanotechnology-enabled breathalyzer for THC detection. I improved my lab skills and got the chance to do hands-on work with sensitive materials such as antibodies and screen-printed electrodes. I also gained exposure to sensor testing using a potentiostat.
