I delivered features and improvements to meet the modern requirements of Display software for smartphones running on Snapdragon chips year over year. I collaborated well with Video and Audio multimedia partner teams. The software I developed was scalable/flexible out-of-the-box across multiple chipset generations, HW tiers/variants, and changing versions of Android OS.• Reduced both power and performance costs around 10% and 15% for demanding high FPS use cases by researching and leading a redesign for more runtime optimized software architecture, scalable across multiple business units.• Allowed OEMs to benefit from a higher yield of usable smartphone displays from their manufacturers by having full responsibility of the feature to hide physical panel imperfections from the user. Feature spanned the entire product stack from display vendor’s manufacturing to Snapdragon HW programming and required collaboration across multiple engineering teams and business organizations.• Debugged complex issues regarding HW programming, Stability, RT Systems, Memory management and safety, Performance regressions, Power regressions, Google Compliance Test Suite, and Google Vendor Test Suite to ensure the successful commercialization of the latest four generations of Snapdragon Premium Tier SoCs.

• Collaborated with display and graphics engineering teams at Google to shape the technical direction of Android 10’s Multi-Display APIs. Yielded improved software support for OEM products including Google’s own Pixel 4. Continued to work on Qualcomm multi-display vendor value-adds and HLOS customizations for the release of the DPU for Snapdragon 855 for use by Samsung and LG.• Minimized device usage disruptions from display kernel panics by developing a feature for software to recover from fatal HW states. During the recovery, the feature automatically saved register programming data for further analysis, allowing faster time to root cause of issues faced by test teams and external teams.• Enhanced off-device unit testing framework to enable better test driven development and use case code coverage by improving the team’s SW-virtualized HW driver and GTest framework to support both XML and C++ test case configurations for a wider range of display driver programmable properties.• Helped reduce number of uncaught bugs during pre-silicon development by enabling per-commit gating and automated unit test execution on new development branches with Jenkins early in the project lifecycles.

- Developed Capsule, a client-side package to encompass and execute Oblivious Random Access Memory algorithms intended for data access pattern obfuscation in cloud storage- Capsule additionally extracts data during execution to obtain proof of functionality for any given ORAM algorithm, and provides a consistent baseline to compare various ORAM algorithms- Directly assists graduate student Anastasia McTaggart (pursuing a PhD) with her ORAM algorithm development efforts- Reviewed and approved by Prof. Ethan Miller (SSRC) and the Baskin School of Engineering as a successful undergraduate thesis project
