Title:Optimal Integration of Supply-side and Demand-side interventions for managing Transitioning Electricity Systems. In this work, we have developed a linear optimised mathematical model which minimizes the total cost of the electricity system by considering constraints from both supply side and demand side. The objective of my work is to match the electricity supply and demand in a system with variable renewable energy sources. In achieving this objective, we developed a simulation-based approach to replicate the electricity demand variability and patterns in the form of representative load and supply curves. The model is validated using the time series real-life data from Karnataka electricity system.

Estimate and evaluating the solar roof top PV potential of Bangalore and also providing policy recommendations for the development of roof top PV. Mounting solar photovoltaic modules on the roof-top of railway coaches in order to supply the lighting load in the railway coach so as to reduce the diesel consumption by the end on generator car.

Apart from this, I also worked in recommending a component level sourcing strategy and key policy & regulatory interventions for ensuring adequacy of indigenous manufacturing for solar thermal components for India. Apart from these, I have also worked on providing policy recommendations to the Planning Commission for the achievement of nationally devised emission reduction targets.
