Oversight of campus wide IT and Telecommunications systems. As the project manager, I provide cost analysis and planning of installation, moving of equipment and upgrades for all users. Operated as an individual service support provider for computer and phone communications for a 30 person sized company. Was selected to attend special training over peers for advanced classes to allow the company to have advanced computer software. Assisted the Department of Defense with the migration of computers from Windows Vista to Windows 7, and the change to Microsoft Office 2007. Trained personnel in the office on the changes in the new Windows operating system and how to migrate their outlook accounts so that no information was lost. Assessed the needs of the company to determine that the need to purchase new equipment outweighed the cost and oversaw the purchase order of new desktop and laptop computers. Was the liaison to the printer and copier vendor when issues were not able to be resolved at the direct support level.

Primary support specialist for a combat unit in Iraq. Was responsible for personnel training and the maintenance of all maintained radio and computer operations equipment. Provided the company with satellite computer and phone networks on both internet and intranet systems. Was selected above his peers to attend training in multiple locations across the area of operations that included extensive travel and limited supervision. Assisted in the Department of Defenses migration from Windows XP to Windows Vista, ensuring that data was not lost and users had as little downtime as possible during 24 hour operations. Helped users navigate Microsoft Office 2003 and organize Microsoft Outlook email folders. Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining computers in harsh environments, extending the lives and usage so that there would be no loss in productivity.

On call IT Helpdesk support to small businesses in the Greater San Diego area. As a consultant, I provide services including the evaluation and recommendation for IT capital expenditures to meet business objectives. I also provide on- site technical support upgrading computers with new hardware, installation of network infrastructure to expand office capabilities including building server equipment so that businesses can have a local back up to their Google Drive file share.
