Fiskkit is a platform for in-line news commenting that "turns discourse into data," making the discussion more useful, factual, productive, accountable, civil and enjoyable. Structured data allows us to statistically fact-check all online news in real time, and empower readers to filter trolling without resorting to censorship or moderation. Fiskkit released a public beta at the Launch Festival in 2015 and was awarded the Social Impact Award by the Grand Jury.

Worked closely with SOMA's iconic longstanding publisher to create magazine issues featuring myriad global and local innovators, investors, incubator founders, venture capitalists, and designers.

WingPicked is a social media app that combines news, culture and lifestyle with a gamified user experience. Created by a reporter and a product manager who share a mutual vision for a platform that's both fun and devoid of misinformation, WingPicked relies on a vetted community of real humans to provide honest feedback and curation.

Reporting to the managing editors of the Food and Culture Sections, I wrote and published dozens of stories in print, digital, photo, and video formats. Worked closely with editors to develop experimental reader engagement initiatives for viral social media campaigns and user-submitted content.

Ideated university-wide green supply bartering initiative to decrease resource waste and encourage cross-departmental engagement. Collaborated with surgeons and clinical staff to drive internal product adoption projects in switch to electronic medical record management systems. Coded innovative, experimental procedures, including liver transplants and twin-twin transfusion syndrome ablations.
