Teach a full schedule in Physics and Engineering and work to learn about school-wide initiatives and communicate them with the rest of the science department. I am also available to address concerns of the department and offer instructional advice when requested.

Piloted Project Lead the Way's Principles of Engineering in the 2017-2018 school year. We ran three sections of this course, and students, parents, and administration were all excited about the opportunity and pleased with the outcome. We will be continuing to implement PLTW courses and in addition to POE, I will also be teaching Introduction to Engineering Design in the fall of 2018. In addition to project lead the way, I also teach an honors level physics course. I dedicate much of my time to differentiate instruction and assignments so that all students are able to achieve and succeed in my classes. Additionally, I utilize project-based learning opportunities in all classes to expose students to real-world problems and hold their engagement. I strongly believe in the power of formative assessment and professional collaboration to better understand student learning patterns and improve pedagogical techniques based on student results. I regularly engage in professional collaboration to analyze student work and identify misconceptions or gaps in student achievement and develop remediation plans to address these needs.

Teach geometry, algebra II, and Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry. Improved student stores on end of course assessments by an average of 40 points and brought pass rate from approximately forty percent the year before to almost eighty-five percent.

I taught two sections of a College Mathematics Course, two sections of Geometry, as well as four sections of SAT Math Prep. I used a district wide curriculum to develop instructional units and individual lessons to maximize ease of transition from topic to topic. In addition to my in-classroom responsibilities, I acted as a faculty supervisor to the wrestling team and volunteered my time as a football coach, baseball coach, and strength coach opening the weight room for students three days a week.

I worked in a variety of classroom settings in conjunction with general education teachers to enhance the education experience for a group of ten to fifteen students who were classified with various learning disabilities and behavior problems. I assisted these teachers in lesson planning, instruction, and classroom management.
