Receptionist
Current“As a front desk receptionist, I am the first contact a guest encounters and I must always have a smile on my face. I am also usually the first voice people hear on the phone when they call.” “My demeanor is often considered the most important impression a client or customer hears and observes as it is often a lasting one.” I answer incoming calls on a six-line telephone console. I direct members or guests to their correct destination, answer visitors' inquiries about the State Bar of Nevada and its products or services. I handle written correspondence, schedule meetings, and keep the front lobby neat and running smoothly. I am also an administrative assistant: I file documents; perform data entry and a variety of other office tasks, such as faxing and emailing. I maintain the master State Bar of Nevada calendar and I am the credit card processor for the State Bar. I assist in various tasks with member services, with LRE (Law Related Education), and the Family Law Specialization Exam. I work with the CLE (Continuing Legal Education) department by grading the Nevada Lawyer quizzes and am a member of the State Bar of Nevada Social Committee. The social committee assists with employee birthdays and social events within the company. I maintain the greeting cards, the flyers, and the emails sent to staff regarding the events.
