As a Student Coach at WIMMA Lab in 2023, I was involved in organizing and managing a summer course held by the IT department at Jamk. My responsibilities spanned across project management, mentoring, and administrative tasks. The aim was to provide students with an opportunity to work in a realistic IT project environment.It began with student interviews and team formation, then moved onto the critical tasks of securing sponsors, product owners, and arranging guest lectures.A significant part of my role involved continuous student guidance and monitoring, improving team dynamics, and facilitating project flow. I also oversaw the preparation and execution of our successful Open Doors event. This included arranging logistics, securing keynote speakers, and ensuring teams were well prepared. The summer concluded with a review process. This included individual discussions, feedback, and report revisions.Throughout this experience, I was able to improve my leadership and organizational skills. It is very rare to have the opportunity to work in a leadership role as a student. I am grateful to have been given this opportunity.

As a peer coach in the Future Factory IT project at JAMK University of Applied Sciences, I collaborated with a team of 3 coaches to guide 16 groups of students (92 in total) in developing a "Skill Collector" tool. This tool was designed to assess the demand for IT skills using the SFIA-8 framework and to align educational content with market needs.My role extended beyond traditional coaching, taking on product owner responsibilities alongside the main project coordinator. I was instrumental in the definition and refinement of the project's scope and specification requirements. This entailed determining the technology stacks to be used, essential software features, and what functionalities a modern application should possess.We employed agile methodologies, working in 2-week sprints. On sprint planning and review days, I evaluated student groups' planned or completed tasks, providing feedback, and challenging their ideas to maintain a broader project perspective.Day-to-day tasks involved monitoring project status details, responding to student queries, scheduling sessions with industry experts, and creating various project-related materials.This role offered me a variety of tasks that challenged me to be proactive and responsible while learning and growing in a supportive environment.

Building WIMMA Lab forum, which is web application running in cloud enviroment. Duration of project was 10 weeks and product was developed by agile methods. My responsibilities included communication between product owner and team, planning sprints and leading planning and review sessions and scheduling daily scrums. Developing product in backend and frontend was part of my job.
