Veronica Fox is an Assistant District Attorney for Tompkins County. She has extensive private practice experience and taught legal studies courses as an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies at Ithaca College for nearly 5 years. Mrs. Fox previously practiced as an associate attorney with Guttman & Reiter, a general practice law firm located in Ithaca, New York. Mrs. Fox's practice focused on criminal defense, business law, real estate and family law. Mrs. Fox was a solo practice attorney for nearly four years prior to joining Guttman & Reiter where she gained experience in immigration matters, estate planning and landlord/tenant disputes as well as family court and matrimonial matters. Her love for the courtroom and savvy advocacy provide each and every one of her clients with aggressive and dedicated legal representation. Mrs. Fox is an active member of the Women's Bar Association of New York, Finger Lakes Chapter, the New York State Bar Association, the Tompkins County Bar Association and the Tompkins County Assigned Counsel Panel.Since her admission to practice, Mrs. Fox has gained extensive courtroom experience in family law, immigration law and civil litigation while working for a boutique law firm in Queens and a prominent immigration law firm in Manhattan. She has worked extensively in the representation and litigation of refugees and asylees in Immigration Court across the country. Furthermore, she has successfully handled BIA appeals and federal litigation cases. As a law graduate, Mrs. Fox was awarded a immigration fellowship position with the Justice Action Center of New York Law School. As a graduate fellow, she worked in immigration removal defense, real estate litigation and employment discrimination. Mrs. Fox was awarded her Juris Doctorate degree in June 2009 from New York Law School. She earned Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of California at Davis in 2005.
