• Develop manual, mechanical and chemical treatment plans for the control and eradication of noxious and nuisance vegetation based on the BC and Alberta Weed Control Act, BC Integrated Pest Management Plan, and Alberta Environmental Code of Practice for Pesticides;• Assist in developing Scopes of Work and provide training to First Nations contractors for Vegetation Management, facilitate pre-season kick-offs and end of season post-mortems;• Complete Desktop Reviews, Pre-Treatment and Post-Treatment Inspections identifying environmental sensitivities, native, noxious and invasive plant species, densities, and provide treatment recommendations;• Develop ROW reclamation plans and coordinate reclamation in BC for facilities and right-of-way sites, including erosion and sediment control, soil amendments, harrowing and re-seeding ;• Correspond and provide reporting to various internal clients and external clients, consultants, and contractors;• Coordinate development of GIS databases, give direction to contractors including Project Managers and GIS Analysts. • Review and assist with the statement of work, budget tracking, validate data sources from various departments (internal and external), provide quality assurance and quality check on development versions, manage updates to internal stakeholders;• Review multiple biogeoclimatic data sets to create native and tame seed mixes and to determine seed volume estimates;• Supervise contractors completing native seed collection, review collection guidelines with crews and provided plant identification training; • Assist with development of planting plan templates for specific reclamation areas; and• Provide guidance on pre-construction vegetation management, analyze weed data for high priority sites and identify efficiencies to complete activities with current vegetation management program.
