During the pandemic, I held the sole responsibility for media relations at the College, and the unprecedented circumstances saw the institution thrown into the spotlight, making headlines. One of the most critical aspects of my position during this period was promptly addressing incoming media stories, including government and stakeholder reports, breaking news, and journalist inquiries. I crafted press releases, facilitated statements, and orchestrated the participation of suitable spokespeople all to incredibly tight timescales. Undertook policy and campaigning research, casework, and media relations for the Leader of the Opposition at Westminster City Council. Tasked with researching and writing up multi-faceted briefings covering a range of policy areas including social mobility, equality and diversity, housing, environmental implications, area funding and budget policy. Also had responsibility for developing Opposition Group how to guides on effective press releases and effective casework practice.

Managed a portfolio of committee meetings including the Children and Young People Board, the Improvement and Innovation Board and the Audit Committee. I led on the briefing work for these committees, working cross party to research and draft all the committee briefing documents for the lead councillors and LGA officers. I also wrote the newsletters for the committees which were sent to thousands of council members and officers across the country.
