I am an expressive arts therapist, working with an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and intersectional approach. My goal is to contribute to social justice not only through my career but also in my daily life. I support clients in their healing journey using different art modalities (visual art, voice and music, gentle movement and creative writing) in a respectful and non-judgemental way.My experience involves facilitating support groups for self-identified mothers and pregnant people, as well as working at transition houses with mothers who experienced violence, youth and adults recovering from addiction at a rehabilitation centre, children with developmental disabilities, seniors, and groups of Spanish-speaking women.My passion is supporting people in situations of vulnerability, to break the cycles of trauma and gender-based violence. When I’m not on the job, I love having family time while hiking and playing with my kids.Always ready to learn and grow as a professional and as a human being, I thrive in environments where I can use my skills to help others.
