• My team was responsible for the Amazon Devices supply chain optimization models. These models suggest the optimal purchase orders to make given the predicted demand and current inventory levels. Amazon has hundreds of.
• Created a new solver that separated the final optimization model from the main Amazon Devices Solver, allowing it to be solved separately and repeatedly.
• Improved several constraints of the separated model.
• Communicated the new solver's purpose and its logic to various stakeholders such as my team, demand planning team, and contractors in our supply chain for the main model.
• Researched methods to improve optimization solve times.
• Documented solver’s inner workings for the technical team & larger Amazon audience.
