• Synthesized a series of glycoproteins via the combination of artificial protein expression from E. Coli and post-translationally chemical modification.• Characterized the functionality, protein conformation, protein folding and chain behavior in solution of these artificial proteins via multiple methods. • Evaluated the glycoprotein-toxin interactions via immunochemical assay, such as ELISA, hemagglutination assay (HA).• Studied the multivalent interactions between cell surface receptor L-selectin and synthetic glycoproteins and the subsequently induced intracellular signal transduction. • Operated instruments expertly, such as GPC, HPLC, FPLC, peptide synthesizer, lyophilizer, plate reader, UV-vis, CD, IR, NMR, ESI-MS, MALDI-TOF and SPR. • Gained additional experiences in protein sequence design, mammalian cell culture, and biophysical analytical methods, such as SAXS, SANS.
