Hi, I am Vanessa Lauren and chances are you know me from somewhere but just can't "pinpoint it" let me help you out. I am born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated with high honors with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communication from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I am one of ten children in a family of thirty-two total and yes, my mother is Mrs. V.While my background is mainly in broadcast media I have worked in many other industries including cosmetology, corporate events, and entertainment on cruise ships.But it was not until early 2024 when the Lord stopped me in my track and told me to start serving in the world of incarceration that I really started walking in my purpose. Now I spend most of my time helping men and women rebuild their lives after serving time in prison as a Career Coach with Hope for Prisoners and advocating for their rights as a Justice Ambassador with Prison Fellowship. I love what I do and I love who the Lord has called me serve, we ALL deserve a second chance.When I am not working you will find me at Church LV either in attendance or volunteering. I love theater, and art, and do standup and podcasting for fun. I also sit on the board of the Nevada Broadcasters Association & Foundation helping the next generation of journalists. In addition to that, I serve as a volunteer coordinator & community programmer for a non-profit called The Be Loved Project that focuses on championing foster youth to achieve their God-given destiny. And in my spare time (lol) I coach middle school and club volleyball.
