My practice involved mostly Personal Injury in both Minnesota and Wisconsin and Insurance Subrogation in several different states. I also handled some general civil litigation and criminal defense matters.

Drafted orders, judgments, decrees, jury instructions, official letters, and other memoranda; research legal issues before the Court; consulted with the Honorable P. Hunter Anderson on legal issues the Court took under advisement; conferred with attorneys and pro se parties about scheduling and other procedural matters; observed court proceedings of all.

Prepared and handled cases on the Child Protection weekly calendar, to be presented before the assigned judge. Assisted attorneys with trials or researching and writing various orders, petitions, and memoranda. Worked collaboratively with social workers and guardians ad litem with the intended goal of reunifying children with their parents.

Prepared lesson plans and conducted additional research if necessary, in order to teach 11th and 12th grade students at Edison High School certain aspects of law that may be applicable to their lives.

Assisted legal assistants and attorneys in preparation for trial, which includes, but not limited to production and preparation of legal documents, maintaining files, assembling witness kits and trial notebooks, and creating inventories.

Worked with North Minneapolis probation officer to prevent juvenile deliquents from crime escalation by providing alternative options and monitoring their progress through visits at school or home and attending court hearings.
