Hi, My name is Via Conopeotis, and I am a current sophomore at Miami University Farmer Business School, majoring in Human Capital Management & Leadership with a minor in digital marketing. I am honored to be a recipient of the RedHawk Scholarship and have been recognized on the Deans List for 2024. Throughout my time at Miami University, I’ve taken on various leadership roles that have honed my skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and management. As a member of Alpha Phi Sororities, Marketing Committee & Mental Health Committee community outreach, I’ve organized events, developed communication strategies, and fostered a supportive environment within the organizations. Serving as a BUS 106 Undergraduate Assistant has allowed me to mentor freshman business majors, assist in course planning, and lead study session experiences that have strengthened my ability to manage teams and support others in achieving academic success. Additionally, through Miami's FYIC client challenge, I worked with a team to conduct market research and present growth strategies to real-world companies, further enhancing my ability to apply classroom learning to practical business scenarios. My involvement in organizations like Women in Marketing and Miami's Club Travel Tennis team has allowed me to build strong collaboration and communication skills, which will be significant in the business world. Beyond campus, I have gained practical experiences through part-time roles at Lovin Oven Cakery, where I oversaw customer interactions, maintained inventory, and ensured smooth operation. Additionally, honing in on my leadership opportunities by serving as a camp counselor. At the same time, assisting in Conopco's marketing team in developing media strategies that increased brand visibility and employee engagement. Earlier, my experience at Clover's Garden Center gave me hands-on experience in logistics management and customer service, contributing to business success during the pandemic. Originally from Chicago, I enjoy exploring new opportunities to connect with others and support community initiatives. Outside of school and work, I’m passionate about helping people through volunteering, as well as playing tennis and badminton in my free time.
