As Trainee Finder and Partner Outreach Manager I manage the HETV Trainee Finder cohort of 200+ individuals’ day to day and oversee the contracting of a series of First Break programmes working in collaboration with partners across the UK as well as any further new entrant level activity delivered for the HETV Fund.

1. Leading all aspects of the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund First Break programme across the UK. Working closely with broadcasters, production companies and local partners to encourage, nurture and support individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds to explore a career in HETV, giving them the initial tools, knowledge and paid taster experiences of working in the industry. 2. Designing and managing the Careers Outreach programme for the HETV Skills Fund at ScreenSkills. Creating and implementing a strategic engagement plan to target schools and colleges across the UK to encourage young people from underrepresented and diverse communities to consider a future career in TV. Creating opportunities for HETV industry professionals to deliver regular inspirational sessions at schools and colleges about their own careers and jobs in TV.Key achievements:• Developing and launching a ScreenSkills Tik Tok channel in collaboration with internal comms and external agency Cowshed. Driving the development and launch of an initial HETV focused campaign burst.• Designing a HETV careers focused interactive workshop rolled out to 1500+ 12-18 year olds across the UK in year 1• Overseeing the management of 15 First Break programmes with productions based across the UK providing opportunities to over 100 individuals from lower socio-economic and underrepresented backgrounds.• Designing and overseeing the development and launch of the HETV Back to school initiative and HETV Skills Fund school careers roadshow in Bristol, Liverpool, Northern Ireland and Edinburgh.• Organising online and in-person youth forums with 100 young people across the UK to gather research into barriers to entry, trends and feedback on our plans

Nurturing and growing the network by curating a series of events, programmes and community initiatives for the creative economy community in the city and beyond. A focus on strategic planning, business development and membership analysis to deliver the project’s long-term vision to make Cardiff the most creative place it can be.Key achievements:• Originating and producing 3 series of careers-focused podcast 'Get A Proper Job'. Accruing over 2500+ listens.• Project managing placemaking projects Our creative Cardiff and Our creative place. Amassing engagement of 5000+ hits on the site in the first 6 months of launch.• Establishing and managing outreach projects with community groups CAER heritage and Community Gateway including a programme of schools creative careers talks. • Creating a series of online resources and materials for the Creative Cardiff community including information on local venues and spaces, signposting career opportunities and an advice article on running virtual events. • Initiating and delivering a Cardiff University Student Producers programme. Working with (to date) 6 students from a range of different backgrounds to develop their skills and experience producing events and engagement activity. • Overhauling the usability and functionality of the Creative Cardiff network directory which provides creatives with a platform for profiling themselves and their work.

Programming and delivering a Wales-wide programme of learning events featuring talent from the film, TV and video games industries, in line with the objectives of the BAFTA Learning and Events strategy.Key achievements: • Created and delivered 100+ events per calendar year including Career Clever workshops, An Audience with Q&As, masterclasses, exclusive preview screenings, panel discussions, commissioners’ breakfasts, and networking drinks. Managed the Welsh premieres of international feature films Show Dogs, Journey’s End and Their Finest in partnership with Lionsgate, Pinewood Pictures, and stakeholders Welsh Government (2017-18).• Produced and facilitated 10 year-round Award Winners Masterclasses in collaboration with The University of South Wales, Cardiff and Vale College and The University of Wales Trinity Saint David. • Developed and delivered a series of unique seasonal members’ networking events across Wales at venues including The Hyst in Swansea and Tiny Rebel Brewery in Cardiff. • Increased average attendance at BAFTA Cymru events by 22% from 2016.

• Account managing projects for Film (Pride, Don’t Knock Twice, Their Finest Hour and a Half) and TV (Sherlock, Wolf Hall, The Collection) productions in Wales and the South West: liaising with the 2nd Assistant Director to identify the supporting artist requirements, source the Extras and arrange travel, costume and accommodation logistics.• Promoting the business through networking with key production and stakeholder contacts in the region e.g. representing Mad Dog on the events committee of The Royal Television Society of Wales.• Organising Extras recruitment events specifically targeted to key groups e.g. 16-25 year olds.• Building links with local community groups to diversify the range of people on the Mad Dog books.• Working closely with Marketing to develop and implement marketing campaigns.• Overseeing the Mad Dog website, social media and blog content for the Cardiff office.• Recruiting and interviewing the Cardiff project management team and freelance staff.• Running the induction and staff development programme for the Cardiff office: designing and delivering bespoke training packages for staff development such as ‘An introduction to the Mad Dog database’, ‘Time Management skills’, ‘Production best practice’. • Leading on staff appraisals and action plan reviews.• Designing and managing the internship placement for students of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.• Creating and delivering careers guidance talks in local schools in conjunction with educational charities ‘Into film’ and ‘Inspiring Futures’.• Implementing a client feedback survey for company-wide use.• Developing sales plans and tactical activities to meet and exceed company sales targets. • Weekly reporting to the London based CEO and the board.

• Installing new Show Team event products for the Thomson Couples brand into hotels in Greece, Turkey and Spain. • As in-resort Training Course Director, managing training courses comprising of planning, development and delivery. Responsible for the successful completion of training courses by the selected recruits.• Managing event budgets. • Contributing to the creative content and production of yearly event manuals as used by TUI UK and other Show Team clients.• Day to day management of the in-resort event team including resident and visiting musicians, technical staff and event hosts.• Cross-company reporting between the Show Team UK and TUI UK.

• Managing the diaries of high profile comedians, DJs, presenters, musicians and actors. • Maintaining the Mike Leigh Associates website and all social media portals: latest news, new signings and artist biographies. • Scheduling castings, recalls and filming days for commercials, TV shows and film projects.• Issuing and tracking invoices for all artist payments.• Negotiating fees and contracts on behalf of the clients.• Organising corporate events: liaising with the client to match the most suitable performer to the request, negotiating fees and organizing artist travel and accommodation. • Office management: monitoring stationary supplies, answering the office telephones, sorting the office post and responding to general email enquiries.
