At my core, I'm a life long learner. Yes, as a Latina first-generation college graduate, I proudly hold degrees in Speech Communication Disorders and Spanish. But I don't limit myself or my potential to labels, mostly because they're a mouthful. The beauty of learning is that it's not restricted to a classroom; you can find it anywhere you go. As for me, I seek to learn as much as I can wherever I'm planted. Because of my educational background, I have experience in research, translation, and working with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. However, my dedication to the Latinx community has allowed me to gain skills in leadership, project coordination, recruitment and advising to name a few. As a connect-the-dots type of person, I synthesize my experiences and skills in order to bring fresh perspectives to the table. My strengths, or as I like to call them, my superpowers: Leading by example, writing, event planning, sharpening my EQ, adding and seeing value in others, pursuing excellence, and having a burning desire to continue learning and growing. COVID-19 has been an opportunity to test my resilience and to continue moving forward despite the setbacks and uncertainty. It has ignited my entrepreneurial spirit, which I am eager to share with my future team as I enter this newest chapter in my professional career.

Management & Sales TraineeSherwin-Williams Oct 2020 - Oct 2021I never imagined this opportunity would be part of my post-college experience, but it was exactly what I needed to kickstart my career! I joined with little knowledge of the paint industry, but by completing the Management & Sales Training Program, I gained product knowledge and experience in customer service, sales, business management and team development. Within 3 months of joining the company, I was promoted to Assistant Manager of a store valued at $1.3MIL. I worked closely with the store manager to improve our store's business operations and customer experience. Because I'm a Spanish-speaker, I was able to bridge the gap between the store and our Spanish speaking customers, especially our regular contractors. I'm grateful for the managerial experience and emotional intelligence I gained through this experience, and am excited to carry this forward into the future! -
