Legal assistant to four attorneys and primarily responsible for the preparation of complex legal documents, office and client file management, internal and external communications (verbal and written); and daily administrative and clerical duties. I review files, type reports, review correspondence/documents and prepare for signature. I am involved in the preparation of discovery and general trial and pre-trial procedures. I am responsible for the maintenance of attorneys’ daily calendar, arrange conferences, do transcription of hearing tapes, and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions (Cabell, Wayne, Lincoln, and Mason counties). In addition, I am also responsible for the clients’ accounts payable, attorney billing and invoicing. I assist with all daily operations of the firm which includes ordering office supplies, delivery, and pickup of legal documents from the courthouse or other attorneys, research, receptionist, telephone operator.
